Internet Explorer (and Google Chrome) : keyboard shortcut to open a link in a new tab

I didn’t think that I was going to use this one this much. I used to do it with a right mouse button click and selecting from the menu options, but I find myself using it all the time:

Click on the link while holding the [CTRL] key.

I even use it a lot more as I scroll down a web page that has a lot of links (like search result) and I just click on the ones that I’m interested in.
